Nursery Reveal: Featuring Hatch Baby Rest
Ever since our 2.5 year old son Jack was a baby, he never liked sleeping alone. He slept in our bed for the first year and a half, and when we finally transitioned him to the crib, we had to move it into our bedroom to make him feel comfortable. When we found out we were expecting another little one, we wanted to start gradually transitioning him into his own room, which he will eventually share with his little brother.
Our first step was converting the crib into a toddler bed. Then we moved the bed out of our room, and into his room. Even tough he seemed more comfortable with the crib wall down, he was still nervous about being in his own room. We discovered the Hatch Baby Rest on Instagram, and thought it might be just what we needed to help Jack feel at ease in his own space. The Hatch Baby Rest is a 3-in-1 nightlight, sound machine, and ok to wake device that you can customize right from your phone.
Right away, Jack loved playing with it. You can change the color and the sounds with just a tap, which made going to bed a lot more fun. The Hatch Baby Rests super modern design fit right in with our nursery decor, and they even have customizable coverlets whenever you feel like changing things up.
Baby Henry is still sleeping in a co-sleeper in our bedroom, but the we had so much fun designing the nursery for when he's ready to move in with big brother. Our animal prints are from an Etsy shop called Tiny Toes Design. And our wall decals and banner my husband and I made ourselves. Henry and Jacks monogrammed Saranoni blankets are super soft, and add a nice personal touch to the room.
We did a lot of research when looking for nursery furniture, and sought out modern designs that fit our budget. A great resource for finding affordable furniture for your nursery, or any other room in the house, is furniture.com. You can search for pretty much anything you need for your home on one site, and it gives you customized listings to fit your needs. It even lets you search for furniture sales in your area, so you're able to find exactly what your looking for at the best price.
I'm really happy with how the boys nursery turned out, and I can't wait to see how it looks when they are both moved in. My only hope with the shared room, is that it is a calm, relaxing retreat that sparks their imaginations, and helps strengthen their bond as brothers.
