It's Still Summer
I have a confession to make. It's September, and I'm still not ready to say goodbye to summer. This is rather unusual for me as fall is my favorite season, and I'm not exactly a "lay out and tan" kind of girl. The past few months have chaotic since the birth of Henry, but so so much fun.
Since we still technically have a couple of weeks left in the season, I was so excited to learn about Sseko Sandals from a mama friend of mine. All of these beautifully hand crafted sandals are made in Uganda, by women putting themselves through school, and pursuing their dreams. Not only is Sseko helping these women lead better lives, they are also connecting women rigt here to the cause as well.
The Sseko Fellows program is an initiative created for women here in the states, to earn an income while sharing the Sseko story and Sseko products with their communities. Every Sseko Fellow gets matched with a Sole Sister, one of the women on their team in Uganda, and all of her sales goes directly towards earning an additional scholarship for her Sole Sister.
The sandals come in a variety of style and color options, and these white gold ones felt like a perfect transition into the cooler months. So while I'll be pulling those boots out again pretty soon, these sandals are sticking around for many summers to come
