The Zen Sack

The Zen Sack

Before Henry was born I had accepted that maybe I just didn't breed sleepers. My first son hated being swaddled, and would wake up 5 times a night for almost 2 years. The idea that any baby would actually sleep through the night at 2 months old seemed completely unrealistic to me.  That was a thing someone else's baby did, not mine.  And then, just like that, something amazing happened.

Our baby boy had arrived, and we brought our Nested Bean Zen Swaddle to the hospital to start using it from day one.  Not only was every nurse in the hospital completely fascinated by it, but Henry took to it like he had been wearing it in the womb for the past 9 months.  He slept amazing that first night, and has continued to do so ever since.  We bought other swaddles that we intended to use, but Henry slept so incredible in the Zen Swaddle we figured, why fix what's not broke?

When he hit 4 months, our big guy was definitely ready to upgrade to the Zen Sack. He'd been rolling over for awhile now, and the swaddle wasn't long enough anymore.  Since our first son never swaddled to begin with, I wasn't sure how much of a change it would be for Henry to transition to the sack.  But just as I expected, he loved it. His sleep pattern did not change one bit,  and he continues to sleep soundly in it every night.  I attribute the smooth transition to the fact that he was used to the weighted chest of the swaddle, and his preference of being wrapped with his arms out.

The Zen Swaddle and Zen Sack have been one the biggest blessings for our family.  I only wish I had tried them with our first. They are worth every penny, and I truly can not recommend them enough.
